Leyland 384 with JD 2640 decal

Post by hillmim7 » Sat Jul 11, 2020 4:13 pm

2 days ago I brought home what is marked as a John Deere 2640. Took me a full day to understand it's a Leyland 384.

I'm moving along with the restoration, I'm waiting for the new filters, need to order tie rods. My drywall guy has tire connections and got me a great set of front tires for $50 each. Massive amount of water in transmission. Until I replace the filters I won't know how everything works, motor does run great. Any advice on this project would be appreciated. The instrument cluster is trash, is there any used ones, I cant find any?
