While I waited on the front axle to come back I fitted the Perkins badge, I used screws for holding a bathroom mirror. I shortened them and threaded with a M4 die, screwed it on and put on the chrome caps. When I eventually do a full respray the silver Perkins will look real nice against Nuffield orange.

I picked up a radius arm that came off a Leyland 344 with the pivot in good condition. I extended it and made a bracket to bolt up underneath, all fitted in nice.

The threads on the nose cone brackets were bad so I tapped them out with a M4 tap , fitted the brackets for the headlights, wired them up and there was light. Have to tidy up the connections.

I got local man Dooley Ironworks to make a step and PTO U guard for me, turned out pretty good, painted them up with poppy orange, little bit bright I suppose but I hope to do a full respray in due course.
Fitted sidelight on LH side, used 12mm flexible conduit on the underside of the mudguard and it fitted into a domestic cable gland. Held in with cable ties and sticky clamp, plastic stuff on vintage might not please everybody but huge cost savings compared to going fully original.
