Nuffield P4

Post by Carl Hargreaves »

Hello all
Me and my dad have been doing an engine swap on a Nuffield I bought. We already had a fully done up Perkins P4 engine which we have gone rite through.
it has had ....
N.O.S Crankshaft with new bearings
New Pistons and Liners fitted
Cylinder head has had new valves and guides
reconditioned water pump
New timing chain
we had this engine ready for a tractor but the rest of the tractor was very ruff. So I found a half decent tractor with a bad engine in Lincolnshire and bought it for the transplant.

here is a link to the photo album

here is a YouTube of us pressing in the new liners at work with our scrap metal baler.

and part 2 is here,

Thanks,
Carl Hargreaves
