BMC mini hydraulic control valve

Post by AUSSIE TOM »

Hi, does anyone know what the diameter is of the NYLON ball in the bottom of the control valve. What function does it serve ? Can I use steel to replace it?. I have lost the original. Regards for any help. Tom

Hi, I've seen this question before and replied to it, maybe on another forum? The ball is 1/4 inch diameter and must be nylon as it's effectively weightless and floats freely in the oil gallery. A steel ball would fall to the bottom of the drilling. I've never quite worked out exactly what it does. John Poulter.
